Refund policy

Effective Date: 01 November 2025

At Samya Your Honest Pantry, we strive to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. Because we deal with groceries and perishable items, our policy is structured with care to ensure hygiene, safety, and fairness.

1. General Return Policy

  • Because of the perishable nature of many of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges of items once delivered if opened, used or carried by the customer.
  • Returns are only accepted under specific conditions (see section 2 below).
  • Items must be returned in the condition they were delivered if applicable, unopened and in original packaging, except in circumstances where the condition on delivery was unacceptable.

2. Refund & Return Eligibility

You may request a return and refund if:

  • The products delivered are damaged, spoiled, or unsuitably stored (as confirmed via photographic evidence and complaint within the timeframe).
  • The product delivered is different (wrong product) from what you ordered (verified against the order details).
  • An item is found to be missing from your order (verified via our shipping records/courier weight).All claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery
  • To initiate a claim, please contact us at care@samyafoods.in with: order ID, product name/description, photographs of the delivered items (showing damage/spoilage/wrong item), and any other relevant information.

3. Refund Process

  • Once your claim is received and verified, we will notify you whether the refund is approved or rejected.
  • If approved, the refund will be processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method, unless otherwise stated.
  • Please note: it may take additional time for your bank or payment provider to credit the amount to your account.
  • In the event of rejection, we will provide reasons for the decision and may offer alternative resolution (e.g., credit note, discount on future purchase) at our discretion.

4. Cancellations

  • You may cancel an order prior to dispatch by contacting us immediately at care@samyafoods.in.
  • Once the order has been dispatched, it is no longer eligible for cancellation via our system; you may refuse receipt at delivery (if permissible) to avoid accepting the order.
  • In case of cancellation before dispatch, any payment made will be refunded as per the above process.

5. Refund Exceptions & Limitations

Refunds will not be provided if:

  • The claim is made after the 24‑hour window following delivery.
  • The delivered product shows no damage/spoilage and its condition is consistent with expected usage.
  • The item was mishandled or damaged after delivery due to your negligence.
  • The item was delivered to a correct and complete address, and you were available to inspect but accepted the delivery.
  • You simply changed your mind after accepting the delivery (unless standard statutory “cool‑off” rights apply as per applicable law).
  • Hygiene/security seals have been broken or the packaging has been tampered with by you.

6. Effect of Return or Refund on Future Orders

If you receive a refund or credit for a product, we may (at our discretion) cancel related future orders or limit further purchases of that item, in circumstances where misuse is suspected.

7. Shipping Costs in Returns

Unless the reason for return is our error (damaged/wrong product), you may be responsible for the cost of shipping returned items or for re‑dispatch of corrected items. We will clearly communicate if any such cost applies.
